The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services for the community.
SASSA might be rendering providers which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency explained it is alarmed with regard to the large amount of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The purpose of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a superior quantity of clients/beneficiaries click here to access SASSA services.
“This is often because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no totally functional office focused on service the area each day. The provider position designed for intervention activities a large influx of possible beneficiaries, that makes it complicated with the Workplace to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more sources to enable the servicing of all prospects and enhance entry to Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
